The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) is accepting applications from adequately qualified applicants for admission into its pre-degree program for the academic year 2021/2022.

INHURD’s Pre-degree Program is a one-year full-time pre-matriculation Science program designed to prepare students for various degree programs at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta. Indirectly, the curriculum prepares students for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (JAMB-UTME).

Pre-Degree Program at UNAAB

Pre-degree students are required to take English Language and Mathematics, as well as three more subjects: Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. Students are tested by internally conducted Continuous Assessment Tests (CAT) during the semesters and main examinations at the end of each semester, and the courses are taught in two semesters by trained Tutors. Lectures, tutorials, and laboratory practical are all part of the comprehensive training. The Institute also offers JAMB/UTME tutorials and teaching, which are required for Pre-degree students seeking admission into University degree programs. The tutorials and lectures are utilized to prepare students for the JAMB/UTME exam, and the Institute has made significant progress as a result of this endeavor.

Since the program’s inception, there has been an extremely high rate of Pre-degree students passing JAMB/UTME and Post-UTME into the university, according to records.

Admission Requirements for FUNAAB’s Pre-Degree Program

Credits in the Senior Secondary School Certificate/General Certificate of Education (SSCE/GCE), National Examination Council (NECO), Ordinary Level Examination (in not more than two sittings) in Chemistry, English Language, Mathematics, Biology, or Agricultural Science and Physics are required for admission to the Pre-degree program. Awaiting results may also be used if a complete result is obtained before INHURD is completed.

Scoring and placement into degree programs

At the end of the session, each student should have a minimum score (decided by the university) in the UTME and post-UTME. All of these will be combined to give the student a composite score. Before being accepted into one of the University’s degree programs, a student is required to obtain a minimum composite score of 40%. Students should be aware that, regardless of the cumulative aggregate score, a cumulative score of 40-49 in three courses or 40 in one subject at the end of the session equals failure.

• Select the program you want to apply for from the homepage.
• Fill in the details on the pre-application form with care. It is important to note that the information you provide cannot be modified because it will be used to process your application.
• Create an invoice that specifies whether the payment should be made online or by printing the invoice for bank payment.
• Make a payment using the RRR number that is produced, and keep a copy of the receipt as proof of payment.
• Log in with your reference number or RRR number to go back online.

Complete your application form and confirm with your surname.
Make a duplicate of it for yourself.

For the 2022/2023 academic session, applications are invited from adequately qualified individuals for admission into the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) JUPEB ‘A’ Level curriculum.

The Federal University of Agriculture’s Institute for Human Resources Development (INHURD) offers a 10-month intensive and residential JUPEB ‘A-Level program. Successful students will be guaranteed admission to the 200 level of all courses provided by FUNAAB or any other university in Nigeria that offers the Jupeb curriculum.

Admission Requirements, Subject Combinations, and Grading for FUNAAB JUPEB

Admission Requirements: 5 O’Level Credits in English Language, Mathematics, and Phys., Chem., Biology, or Agriculture are required. Awaiting results may also be used if a complete result is obtained before INHURD is completed.

Combinations of subjects:

Each student is required to take three fundamental combinations of any of the subjects listed below, depending on their chosen discipline:

• Physicists, chemists, and biologists, or physicists, chemists, and mathematicians.

Final grading and scoring:

The JUPEB Board grades and scores the final examination externally, and the scoring procedure is as follows:

A student must register for Direct Entry with JAMB and receive a minimum of 7 points (e.g. DDD+1=7, BEE+1=7, etc.) to be considered for placement into a degree program (200 LEVEL) at FUNAAB. Students should be aware that the minimum score required for admission to the University varies between courses and Tertiary Institutions.
